As a GDPA Member, you enjoy:

  • Active participation & influence — contribute through working groups on issues like taxation, environment, spatial planning, SME support, education and HR; take part in regional events, work-meetings and the Annual General Meeting; and have the right to vote and run for the Board (after three consecutive years of membership).
  • Representation at national and international level — your voice will be promoted through GDPA’s collaborations with organisations such as Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT), SETE, and Marketing Greece, giving your business greater legitimacy and visibility.
  • Networking & collaboration — connect with other leading wedding and event professionals across Greece to build synergies and opportunities.
  • Access to industry insights & trends — stay up to date with developments in the Greek and global tourism and events industry.
  • Marketing & media support — promotion via GDPA’s website, social media, and joint campaigns with national organizations; permission to use the “GDPA Member” logo on your website, email signature, or premises; a Member plaque can also be displayed in your office.
  • Prestige and recognition — being part of GDPA signals a commitment to high professional standards and strong ethical practice in the destination events industry.

How to Apply

To become a member:

  1. Complete the application form with your official company details (company name, registered office, founding year, TIN number, contact information, website etc.).
  2. Provide the required documentation:
    • Confirmation that there is no pending complaint or legal issue against you or your business.
    • Legal registration documents: if you are a company, provide statutory documents and proof of representation as registered in GEMI; for sole proprietorships, the start-up document suffices.
    • Proof that your business has operated legally for at least seven years.
    • Greek registered office and valid Tax Identification Number (TIN).
    • Up-to-date tax and insurance clearance certificate.
    • Responsible declaration from gov.gr stating that the majority of your events is addressed to incoming guests from abroad.
  3. If for any reason the form is not working you can also submit the application and documentation to [email protected]

Next steps: your application will be examined by the GDPA Board. Once approved, you will receive confirmation and then you are entitled to all the membership benefits — including the use of GDPA branding tools.

C. The company accepts this to be used as the Register Sheet of the Affiliated Members of HELLENIC ASSOCIATION OF EVENTS ORGANIZERS IN GREECE after its approval by the Board of Directors.

The services offered by the GDPA to its Trusted Partners are based on their active and creative participation in the activities of the Association as well as

• networking • collaboration • media exposure • information exchange & communication

MEMBERS BENEFITS

  • Participation: GDPA members participate in shaping the positions and proposals of the Association as they have the opportunity to participate in:
    • working groups that focus on special issues (tax, environment, spatial planning, small and medium enterprises, education/human resources, etc.)
    • open regional events and behind “closed doors” members’ Work Meetings
    • the GDPA Annual General Meeting
    • the right to vote and be elected. Members of the Board of Directors are elected for the period of the first five years (5 years) from the establishment of the Association from among the founding members.
  • Representation: The voice of our members is heard in national and international organizations, such as EOT – SETE – MARKETING GREECE
  • Networking: Possibility of networking and cooperation with other businesses – Members
  • Information exchange/research: Update on trends and new developments in the Greek and global tourism map as well as in individual markets affecting or connected to our industry
  • Media exposure: GDPA members are promoted through the website and social media, as well as promotional actions in collaboration with National Organizations (EOT, Marketing Greece, etc.)
  • -Possibility of posting the “GDPA Member” logo on their website and in their correspondence / mailing forms as well as placing a Member plaque in their premises.
  • Sponsorship is provided at events of member companies
  • Possibility of submitting a nomination for the Board of Directors of the Association after 3 years
  • The designation of a company as a “GDPA Member” is an element of recognition of high quality services and prestige.

ENTRY CRITERIA

In order to register as an affiliate member, an application form must be submitted by the interested party. The application, if accepted, implies recognition and acceptance of the terms of the Association’s Statute on the part of the applicant.

In particular, those interested in becoming members of the Association must meet the following standard requirements:

  • For the judgment – information – of the Board of Directors, the following documents must be attached:
    1. To officially certify that there is no pending complaint against them or, if it is a legal person, against their business or legal representative that concerns their operation. (Self declaration documentation (Gov or KEP) that no criminal prosecution is pending against you for a company for the legal representative)
    2. Establishment and valid representation of the legal entity (codified valid statutes legally published, decision/announcement of valid representation legally published) in the case of a sole proprietorship, the initiation of the sole proprietorship is sufficient. Articles of Association published in GEMI and the company’s representation in GEMI.
  • Have at least three (3) years of legal operation. Copy of business start-up document.
  • Have a Greek registered office and a Greek Tax Registration Number (TIN)
  • Be up to date with their tax and insurance obligations (tax & insurance clearance certificate)
  •  Main source of business to be the planning of events in Greek areas different than their registered office (destination). Copy of mainly KAD list.
  • It is clarified that only after completing the entry process, members have the right to use the Association’s logos and promotion tools.
